3 lines on u/s

Good Morning, my wife & I went in for her u/s again at 24 weeks. We had one at 21 wks. but they couldnt see the insertion of the umbilical cord because baby had its feet up back by its head. The same was true this timew/ baby. When the tech put the doppler on my wifes tummy, right away I saw 3white lines which where the genetalia should be.The lines were about the width of a pencil and aprox. two inches long. I'm thinking this has to be the labia. I also saw what looked like the profile of the cord infront of the middle line like we were looking thru the legs from the back side. I should have asked the tech at the time but my wife didn't want me to.We have 3 beautiful boys and obviously would love to have a little girl. Could this be our miricle or was I looking at something else.
                         Thank for the imput   jcstokes

I am also having a girl, and saw the "hamburger" with 3 lines!  I have never seen what a boy looks like though.  Unless your wife doesn't want to know, could you call the ultra sound place and have them look over the pictures again?  They have taken that picture and could review it and let you know if you are right.

from the sounds of it (and i am NO expert on reading u/s) but the 3 lines also called a "hamburger" is what techs look for when looking at a GIRL....it sounds like you are having a GIRL and CONGRATS!!!!

i hope i am right for you, as it sounds like you despritely want a girl, i am 26 weeks and the doc showed us our baby girls hamburger....lmao

GOOD LUCK and keep us posted.
