Cross castor oil off that list, it's not safe. I've heard bouncing on an exercise ball, accupressure points (you can google that one), spicy food, pineapple, walking and sex.

just ate a whole pineapple while bouncing on my exercise ball. lol! hopefully things get moving soon... im wayyy too anxious to wait til 41 weeks when they would induce me if i havent gone into labor by then. im really worried about my lil girl getting too big as i was born on my due date and was almost 11 lbs and my lil sis was 5 weeks early was STILL almost 9 lbs.

I think what put me into labor was walking...I walked around the store (hated when things were all across the other side of the store lol), I have to climb the stairs to get to my bedroom so walking up and down them plus my 2 year old was something else. Walking really helped me. I couldn't have sex so that was out. I never tried anything else.

thanks ladies! just got back from 37 week appt and my cervix is only "thinning" so far. 'sigh' i know shes not gonna come before shes ready but i def want to try these things to "encourage" her to hurry up. ive been having sex (as much as hubby will stand) and i went for a drive on a bumpy road and im in the process of pumping my exercise ball and i have pineapple on tonights grocery list. lol! im scared to try the raspberry leaf tea or the evening primrose oil capsules. i asked my Dr today and she didnt know anything about them. she said, "we dont recommend herbs during pregnancy." it wasnt a Dr i normally see, so im gonna wait on those i think until i see my normal Dr.

Well I have tried everything sex, walking, spicy food, hot baths, bouuncing, swaying hips, castor oil (which is not a problem as long as you stay hydrated they say it may cause baby to pass meconium however because most women that try it are overdue there's no way to say that it does because once you're past 40 weeks the chances of baby passing meconium goes up) pineapple.. everything. It's not happening if it doesn't want to happen

@ Babyiish- LOL, I'm telling you to try it.... Afterall, that's how you got to where you're at right now :)

I don't know if it was the sex that helped, but I was having sex about once every day for 3-4 days. It was uncomfortable, but hey, it was worth a shot. I was also doing accupressure. I had my husband doing the spots above my ankle while my daughter did the webbing between my thumb and forefinger.

I have tried everything that has so far been recommended and Im still preggers. Nothing worked. I did not take Castor oil because it can actually hurt the baby. It can cause them to have a bowel movement inside utero. Good luck!
