I Need Help

I want to hyphenate my daughter's  last name but I'm unsure what order to do it. I want mine to be the dominant  last name because her father is married (long story) no judgements please I was not aware he was married until after I found out I was pregnant.  But her father would like his last name to be hers we agreed on a hyphenated last name... so would it be mine-his or his-mine... like I said we agreed mine would be the dominant .. just need some help please

I wouldn't hyphenate it because then you have to use both names for everything. I did the same thing with my daughter except I put his last name first and mine last with a space in between we only use mine.

I think if you both agree that yours will be dominant then it should be yours-his..
