3rd degree tears are nasty, I had one with my first. It will take a while to heal, but if it's any comfort to you, I've had 2 babies since and not needed any stitches at all. Congratulations on your baby!
Sorry to hear. Im not so lucky now recovering from extreme swelling and 3rd degree tear :( they say its bad, ithe woo take 6 weeks or more to heal.
You sound lucky. My water broke but my contractions were unproductive for 12 hours. I wanted a natural birth but due to lack of progress I opted for pitocin and an epidural. Still no progress for another 12 hours and the pain came back. Had epidural redone and still major pain. By the time I could finally labor down the pain was so bad that my only choice was to push. The pain was excruciating... Pushed for 2.5 hours. I can't believe that an epidural is actually 10/10 painful when pushing
