More then one pregnacy in the family

This may be a rent but I feel horrible. Another person in my husbands family is pregnant at the same time as me and is due later then me too. This is our second child but our first as a married couple and it is her first pregnancy after having a miscarriage last year around this time. I am happy for them but I know my baby and me are going to get ignored and all the attention is going to be on her. Yesterday was a clear example of that to when everyone was asking her questions and talking to her and not even including me. Am I being a baby about this?

Umm a Lil people don't have babies for attention... So if your not getting an it should be a big deal.. If she went through something traumatic its probly more worry an wonder how she s doing because she didn't male it through tnd first time like you all ready did

Me and my baby sister are both pregnant! She is 27wks and I'm 15+4!!! I announced to the family on Christmas day!!! I got to tell all 6 sibling one by one and it was great!!!! Older sister cried, baby sister who is pregnant got WAAAAY excited and couldn't help herself hahaha but that was the greatest feeling ever and we BOTH are sooooo happy for each other...no jealously what so ever should come between family especially during the happiest time of our lives!!!! A little bit childish. I wouldn't be worried at all about getting attention during my pregnancy. Afterall that isn't why I got pregnant in the first place. As long as I have my bfs support and him by my side everyone else can either enjoy it with us or mind their own. I don't need other peoples attention or support to be happy with my little blessing. I'm sure you'll realize that's all you need & these feelings will pass!

I feel you, when I found out I was pregnant a girl at my work is too, my ex boss, and my cousins wife.. but that's life so I know that I will get the attention from members of my family and even if not then it doesn't matter because we're happy that's all that matters

It reminds me of last year as we were trying to get pregnant, then my sis annouced her pregnancy on a family meeting. My older brother congratulated her and said they too were expecting, my younger brother broke out in laughter and he too annouced their pregnancy. I just smiled to my hubby and we pushed our plans to try this year lol. It was kind of weird as they all gave birth this year in may.

I think you should be happy that your child now has a playmate/cousin of his/her own age. They may become the best friends growing up. Have a big heart and send her your blessings! I'm sure you will both enjoy a buddy during pregnancy and new mommy.

Dont worry about it who wants a bunch of unwanted attention anyway. Just as long as baby is healthy and you and hubby are happy don't worry about them.

no i know how you feel. twice i was expecting and another member of my family was aswell. my uncles wife. they not much older than me. it was actually her that drove me crazy more than other. making stupid comments about us been pregnant and all that crap. the first was born 2 months after mine but she did suffer complications. she was ok but she has a disability and now has the mental age of a child much younger than her age. the 2nd was born the day after mine (7years from the other close pregnancy) we were due same time and again ot was the same stupid remarks. this time i was lucky enough not to see much off her. babys were born a day apart. mine been first. this was nice at the time as they were both so tiny but now 3 years later she trys to compare them. but i need to ignore her
