debating about staying home

Any soon to be moms thinking about being stay at home moms? I'm debating about it. I love my career but I would love to spend a lot of time with my daughter as well.

I am already a stay at home mom and love it! (Most days lol) I don't miss any major milestones and get to be there 24/7 if my daughter is sick. We might not have extra spending cash all the time but we pay all of our bills and buy our groceries and have some for savings and we are just fine. Try living off of your husband's income for a couple months and put yours in savings to see how you would be financially.  The cost of daycare is seriously outrageous.  It truly is an amazing feeling to be able to be there for your child 24/7. We have a schedule really and play dates and it's all good.

I would love to be a stay at home , but I know it would be difficult financially. I rather work part time hours than to be a stay at home.

My husband is in the military and we just moved to our base less then a year ago and we were financially good before I had a job , my job was basically extra money. But that's good that you have play dates, good for you and your daughter. I have yet to make mommy friends lol

I am a stay at home mom to two going on three.  Its a sacrifice sometimes because money is tight but we just had to learn a new way to budget.  I wouldn't trade it for anything, I love being with my children and being able to nurse easier. My plan is once my youngest is in school I will work again.

I'm a a stay at home (daughter is 8 months and I'm 20 weeks pregnant) I LOVE IT! it's not easy though. People think it is..it's not. Between taking care of your child(ren), cleaning, cooking etc. It's a 24/7 shift. But so worth it. If you can do it financially, you should do it! Atleast, for a little:)

I worked about four hours a week after my first, which allowed me to have some adult time. Now I'm at home full time with two going on three.

After this baby I actually hope to find a full time job (currently working only 24 hrs/wk) so that my husband can work only two days and stay home with the kids the rest of the week. He let me quit my job while I was getting my degree and now he's in school so it's my turn to provide the bulk of the burden financially while he advances his education and raises our babies. I'll miss not being able to breastfeed as much, having to pump so much will be difficult, but it's the right step to take for our family right now. He will be there for just about every moment and get to experience what I was lucky enough to have when our first was little.
