Well this is my 3rd baby and I never tried it with my other too babies so I thought try it now. My husband doesnt go in to work til 4 everyday so I go to morning classes so it a big help
I took a yoga (and a pilates) class my first pregnancy and loved it! With a toddler at home i am finding it harder to find free time so i likely wont be able to attend classes regularly this pregnancy which makes me sad. I found it very relaxing and like to think it had a positive effect on labour! Enjoy!
Thank u so much I went today and talked to one of the lady and they have classes just for pregnant women so I started that today and it was really nice because all the other woman that was there was about as far as long as I was and it was really nice to meet so mean moms and soon to be mom and maybe even friends
Hi, I'm a yoga teacher and 9 weeks pregnant with my first :) Anytime the doctor hears you're doing yoga they say yes, great, keep doing it! But they don't know about certain restrictions. Make sure you tell your instructor that you are in your first trimester. Not every teacher is trained in prenatal but yours may be. Precautions for first trimester: don't hold inversions for too long like down dog and standing forward bends; no twisting; avoid going upside down as the baby is not attached yet. Other than that, I'm not sure what kind of yoga you're doing..if it's vinyasa you just want to make sure you don't get too heated. And as always drink lots of water. Yoga is a wonderful prenatal activity, heels prepare both body and mind for the rest of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. Stay with it and good luck!
