what to do!!! help!!!

So my family is sick with a cold and somewhat of a fever! Today I woke up with body aches and a horrible cough. No fever yet I feel extremely feverish, and a horrible back ache I just can't seem to get rid of. I took about 2 Tylenols but didn't seem to work! What should I do???

Vicks is ok my OB said...and read about it online and it is one of the safe things for pregnancy congestion. My OB told me as long as u are not ingesting it , then it should be safe...

We have a small bathroom so I shut the door and turn on the hot water and steam it up in there. You could try the Vicks in a vaporizer if they don't want you using it on your skin.  I hope you feel better quickly. It's no fun being sick especially on top of being pg

I'm so glad I read this. I've been fighting bronchitis for a couple months and I've been using Vicks as well.

Ways to treat a cold or allergies without dangerous drugs
Honey, lemon and hot water
Hot and cold packs for sinus pain
Hot bath
Hydrate, drink lots of water
Natural cough drops
Rinse your nasal passages with a Neti pot (read how here)
Saline nasal sprays
Salt water gargle
Sleep propped up
Steam
Tylenol (not Tylenol brand cold remedies, just plain acetaminaphin)
Vicks VapoRub used externally

I spoke to my local pharmacist last week because I had a bad cold and needed congestion relief. She told me do not use Vicks. Im only 20 weeks but she said it can cause pre term labor. I didn't want to take the chance. She said my safest bet was to sleep, drink water and put my head over a humidifier.

Drink plenty of water and try vicks vaporub, on your back and chest...
