Hmmmmm really I havent even thought about a "big girl bed" Yikes MAdy would be running around all the time then. I am afraid she wouldnt go to sleep like she does now, since we put her in awake.....
JEM: We are thinking about the crib to bed transition. We have quite a few friends who have little ones around Leighton's age (some are younger than her) who have already made the big switch with no hiccups. I just don't know if **I** am ready for her to come strolling in our room each morning ;) But, yes... we are right there with you.
ha good catch Ovaz - I was thinking 21"...huh? LOL. Hayden totally LOOOVES to say no. So I hear you with that. And hoping the best for Mady's heart check up.
Anyone starting to think of the crib to bed transition? I want to do it around her 2nd bday...
Jules... I had forgotten that Mady has a murmur. If it makes you feel any better, I have one that I have had since birth. Hopefully Mady's is something that will correct itself. And, you mean 31 in long, right? ;)
Good morning ladies,
Well it is Thursday already but at least I am getting an update in, right? Things are going pretty well. Mady totally has her own attitude now, and says no to everything. She even has the tone that is funny, but I am trying to break her of it. At elast she hasnt ben hitting me or pulling hair anymore. We really are working hard on the time outs to try to teach her when we mean no.
Potty training has coe to a halt, she will sit but never go anymore, booo but I dont want to push her, mabe I should be putting her on the potty more too.
Other than that she is doing really well she is 23 lbs and 21 in long, she is tall and thin like her mama. Still a heart murmur so at 2 we will do another echo and then see a cardiologist.
AFM- I am almost 18 weeks preggo. We are going for our gender scan next Friday. I am soo excited b/c I have no clue what this little one is going to be. I feel huge already though. I also interviewed for an executive center director position of a childcare around here. The job would be nice b/c the kids would be with me all day and the pay was more but I would be losing these awesome hours and days of teaching. We shall see if I hear anything back, in the upcoming days....
Hey girls -
Ovaz- VERY cool on the potty front. I wish Hayden was more into it. She likes to sit on the toilet but never tells me if she has to go. I gotta work on that!
Irish - I felt soo crampy for the first 8 weeks. I also had spotting with Hayden. Hard to hang in there until your appt - and we are here in the meantime.
AFM: No sense Femme or Gent! Not a clue.
Me too....
Oh and Jem Hooray for passing the 12 weeks and having a clear u/s & scan. What a comfort eh? Only a few more weeks till your possible gender scan. How exciting! Any feelings on boy or girl?
IRISH: Crossing my fingers and toes for you that your appt. goes well!
Hi everyone!
Jack is a very vocal guy these days. He finally learned the word 'mine' and now everything is "mine'. We also seem to be getting tantrums more frequently these days. Augh! I bought him a potty a few weeks ago and he is taking some interest in it but not a lot. We are going to break him of his pacifier starting Friday so it should be an interesting weekend.
AFM: I have one more week till my first appointment so I am counting down the days. A week ago Saturday I started spotting...augh! There went my hope of making it to my first appointment without an incident. I didn't have any cramping when it started but thoughout the week I had intermittent aches as though I was going to start my period so it confused me even more. I am not sure what to think. The spotting has somewhat stopped. If nothing else it is really really light and still dark brown in color. Maybe spotting is just my pregnancy plight. This is the same thing that happened when I was pregnant with Jack so who knows. I'll let you know next week the outcome of the appointment.
Hope everyone is having a good week.
We are headed down the road to potty training. She has been using her potty for the past few days, although we have had some little accidents :) When they do happen she begins crying and yells "Pee pee Mommy!" We are just taking it easy and letting her pretty much guide herself through this since I know it can be scary for them.
Most definitely we are in the "NO" stage. Out of control. I never thought I would hate a word soooo much! lol...
One funny story that happened this weekend... we had a sitter on Sat. night and when we came home the sitter says to me "Does she know the name for her private parts?" I said, "Yeah, we tell her the real deal and what the proper name for her anatomy is. Why?" She said, "Well... when I was changing her she kept pointing down there and saying the word." I thought this was too funny!
JEM: I am hoping that you get to find out the gender in Nov! Can't wait to hear the news :)
