Wed. updates

Hello Ladies,
Just checking in on everyone.  Things are good here, not much to report on Mady.  Just shopping for her birthday we aren't doing much present wise a sleepingbag, mickey mourse cd, clothes, I swear the gilr doesnt need anything.  We are waiting for the conversion kit to change her over to a full bed it takes 14-16 weeks to get in, YIKES.
AFM-  I am 371/2 weeks 1 cm dialated and 70% effaced.  SO we can go anyday now or wait till the due date.  Praying for anyday now.  I am in pain and having contractions/cramps all the time.  Kevin messed up his leg playing hockey last week and soent the weekend in the hospital getting surgery and is now on crutches for the next 8 weeks.  He can't work which is going to suck when we stop getting pay checks for a bit.....So things have been kinda hard, I have been taking care of him not vice versa.

  Hope everyone is well!!

Jules, I am hoping that you are headed to labor town this weekend :)  HOpefully before Tuesday, right?

I am really late on these updates... Leighton and I drove over to Palm Springs last week to visit her GG (great-grandma... my grandmother) so I am just now catching up.

Leighton got the rotavirus from an un-vaccinated child (a good friend of ours child).  Apparently our old pediatrician (the one we "fired") never vaccinated her for this, and we have never with held vaccines so I am just so confused on how she missed this series.  Needless to say, our friends child is un-vaccinated by her parents choice.  This right here is the exact reason why with holding vaccines will have a chain reaction of spreading illness if more and more people start with holding the important (not toxic) medical revelations.  So frustrating!

I also ended up with it as it is SUPER contagious.  Not a good combo when you are in your first trimester and are already paranoid about everything.  (BTW... the reason I got it too is because there was no vaccine for this in 1982... my birth year)

We had her 2 year check up and she is in the 50th percentile for height but almost exactly on the dot for the 10th percentile in weight.  Her pediatrician is attributing her weight to the rotavirus and I definitely agreee with her.

AFM:  I hit 12 weeks on Sunday.  I can't believe this 1st trimester is almost over... 2 more LONG weeks.  We have an ultrasound on Tuesday to make sure all is well but I think we have a keeper ;)  I definitely still have anxiety but having Leighton, who is a wonderfully healthy little toddler, makes me thankful everyday for life.  Can't wait to hear about some of your up coming birth stories!  So exciting :)

Kevin will be a bit ofhelp, at least he can hold and help with baby, but Mady will be all on me on top of recovering and breastfeeding, ect.  Oh well we are figuring it out.

I can't believe the offered an iduction, it seems like so many dc are doing that now,it is just for conveinence?  It seems weird to take them out before they are "ready" or it is needed.

HEY! I logged in specifically just to see if you had any updates Jules! So exciting how close you are. Bummer about your man - but at least he can be home with you and baby in the beginning - is that going to be helpful?

Hayden's bday is next Wed, I bought her rainboots and matching umbrella from Hatley (such cute stuff) and an embroidered back pack from PB Kids. I also got her a plastic dollhouse off amazon.

She still smacks herself when she gets mad. IS THIS NORMAL????

I am 33 weeks and this kid actually HURTS unlike Hayden. I think he goes horizontal in my belly. He is not head down yet and DR said that will hopefully change in the next few weeks. They also said we can schedule an induction if I want a week early. SO WEIRD b/c there is no reason to - but they offered it. I think I will pass. I don't want to kick him out as a matter of convenience.

We have no names but Drew suggested TAYLOR tonight. Is that to girlie? PLEASE TELL ME GUYS! We are not sharing publicly so I can't ask my inner circle of friend and family. I am TOTALLY depending on your input and honesty! Actually I should do a poll on here....
