Baby hasn't "dropped"

I'm 38 weeks and he still seems very high up but I still feel pressure on my pelvis sometimes. Could it just be because he's a big baby that it doesn't seemed like he's dropped?

My first pregnancy my son never dropped it scared me too but I still went into labor although he was 9 days late. The doc just had to kind of massage him out of me lol

At my last Sono babys head was pressed right up against my cervix. That was at 36wks. Hopefully he stays that way until delivery. 18Days to go.

Baby can be head down but not dropped, dropped is when the head is in your pelvis, like for example at my last check up my midwife told me that my baby is 2/5 into my pelvis so she could only feel 3/5 of baby's head :) x

Have you been checked to see if baby's head is engaged? They feel the bottom of your bump, right above your pelvis to see if baby's head is in your pelvis. That's what people mean by baby has dropped :) x
