Telling family/ friends

Hello All! I'm 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I don't know when I should tell family and friends. I have a lot of events coming up like a bachelorette, Bday parties and a friends Wedding! I don't know what to do. Do I tell them because it's going to be really hard keeping it from them if I'm at an event and I'm not 'having a cold one'.

I told everyone at week 7 for our first.  We couldn't wait.
our second we waited till week 12.
This one will be probably till week 14-15.

Now, you can always make yourself DD so you have an excuse for no drinking.  Or tell people you are trying to lose weight, cutting out sugar, whatever till you are ready to tell them the real reason why.

Nice one bassey86.

I probably won't tell anyone till about 14 weeks too.  I know what it's like having to face people asking questions when u don't look pg when u should (due to a miscarriage) so it's really up to u.  I usually jus tell all my virtual friends (mommy groups and places like this) and deal with parties and get togethers as they come up.

It's your own personal choice. I told very few people until about 14+ weeks. I couldn't have faced people asking me questions if I lost the baby. My SiL told everyone from day 1 pretty much. She miscarried her first but has 1 healthy and a 2nd due next month. I covertly told chefs to make my meals pregnancy friendly without letting on to anyone else. Also got tonic water and pretended it was a G&T! I think i got away with a wedding this weekend, but we have a party this weekend coming, so going to have to blag it a bit more!
