Okay maybe I'm crazy lol (also its really early too) but I love the name Arielle for a girl and my husband just thinks Little Mermaid WHICH I can't deny is probably what everyone thinks of that name haha. I'm wondering is this a nutso idea to name a baby? It's just SO pretty, if it was my name I'd be thrilled but lay it on me if you think this kid will just be teased horrible or think it's crap. I need feedback from the world! ;)

I think its pretty! If you cant get hubby to agree maybe make it a middle name? The name we chose for our daughter is a little different too. We will be naming her shaeli. Everyone we tell says they've never heard it before and that we should choose something different but we're sticking to it and if you love the name you picked out too definatly stick to it. Its your decision dont worry about what others think and its a totally beautiful name for your baby girl

I think it's a pretty name. This is a little different but I have a cousin whose name is Arielle but it's pronounced "Are e elle" which is also pretty and maybe your husband wouldn't think of the little Mermaid :P

Who doesn't love a Disney name! It could always be shortened too. Ari or Elle if she wanted. She will be the envy of all the girls in primary school!

It can't be worse than naming your 2nd child pretty much the same as your first like my SiL did! Weird! The same 3 parts just shuffled around!

I don't think there is a wrong answer...who cares what other people think....it's just you n hubby that choose it. That's why we didn't share the name of our daughter til after she was born. Nobody wants to hear negative comments on a name you love.

I know a girl that spells her name Ariel. Fits her nicely.
