Please help

Hi I am around 6 weeks pregnant and had a brown discharge this morning, this is my first pregnancy so I am very unsure of what to expect. I called the doctor and she said aslong as there is no pain it is normal. Has anyone else had this? She hasn't given me an appointment to see her told me to basically go to bed and see what happens in the next few hours. Is this also a normal response? I only found out last week that I am pregnant haven't been referred to a midwife yet.
Thanks

Thank you, I needed that re assurance yesterday. I went to A&E yesterday and they re assured me and gave me a number to call if anything else happens. Went to work this morning and started bleeding red blood. Waiting on maternity unit calling me back. Fingers crossed all ok xx

Very common. I've had it with 4 of my 7 pregnancies. Drink lots of water and rest when you can.

I also had some brown discharge, when I was 5 and a half weeks. It was very light and lasted 2 days. No pain. I am 7w1d today and going in for my first appointment...I was very nervous when I had the discharge, but since then I've had all the pregnancy symptoms pretty much, so I'm confident baby is growing and doing fine :) I hope you can get an appointment soon to ease your mind, but in the meantime be reassured that a bit of brown discharge is very common. :)
