I'm currently 19 weeks and for the past week I've been getting cramping in my lower stomach and lower back....is this normal? I'd appreciate any input.

Hi I'm almost 18 weeks and I have the same thing. My doctor said its normal. Basically we will be getting these cramps and back pain as our uterus is getting bigger it kind of pushes everything back and smooshes your tummy small and large intestine.  This is what will slow down the digestion of your food also making you feel more bloated and uncomfy. But don't worry its a good thing!! This makes your body slow down the process of breaking down your food. This helps your baby because your blood cells are able to take more nutrients from your food and carry them to your child through its umbellical to the placenta. So all in all its a good thing. Also your baby can't feel any of the pain/cramps your going through. They are just happy they have such a nice mom good luck.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes lol
