The hospital is the one giving the issue! After my dr office requesting about 5-6 times they said i could call. They said they outsourced rec i rds to some company. The company wont give me my own records and they wont send them to my dr office without a request... which has been sent luke 12x. Too done!

The only reason i had a c section last time was because theyvtried to induce me and it didnt work :/ my doctors think its safer for both of us to try the vbac but my last dr STILL hasnt sent my surgery reports! Which is ridiculous! I cant drive 13 hours to get them either.

There are risks to both the Vbac and a repeat c-section. I personally feel like a Vbac or TOLAC is in mine and baby's best interest. However you need to do your own research. Look up vbacfacts.com and your local Ican chapter. Make sure that your doctor is supportive of your birth choice either way.

Oh my yes you are at the stage where you need to make a decision. ...has your doctor looked over for previous csection report...was it due to high blood pressure or small pelvis...you know things that are dangerous during delivery? Has your doctor said what he thinks? My doctor has monitored me for a vbac for the last 3 months...my only reason for a csection was I had started dilating but the baby....im in perfect health and a good candidate for a vbac this ...talk to your doctor

I wish u the best of luck. My doc didnt batt an eyelid when I asked for a elective c section 6 months ago. But I also dont think he paid a lot of attention when I said I was a large 10'13 or 5kilo baby who was almost 2 feet long or 58cms. Now every time I see him he remarks big baby, big head... etc. I'm getting the impression-ftm at 37 weeks- that even if I hadn't have asked, he wouldn't be offering me a vaginal birth. Wish I could, but my mother had complications that are still not resolved 30 years later. So I'm not gonna take the risk even though I know c has its own risks. So best of luck, hopefully it goes how you want it to, and do ur perineum massage! Oh n my gf who just managed a full natural birth said, buy some long ice cube trays. Relieves the pain after like a cold tampon.

Regardless do your research make sure your doctor looks over yoyr operation report from your previous csection...delivery is always dangerous...so just make sure you talk with your doctor and you two have a plan.

Wasn't meant to be encouraging. .. was meant to make sure she does her research and talks to her doctor about ALL the possibilities!

I just had a friend go in for a vbac and ended up having a uterine rupture and they lost the baby.... full term baby
.. just was going in for labor. So please listen to your doctor. Her doctor thought there wouldn't be any issues,  but she ended up being that small minority that had complications.  Now she is killing herself for making that decision and not just going with the c - section.

Yes, my doctor is very supportive of my going for a vbac. I really don't want another section unless it is truly needed. My doctor with my last pregnancy kept pressuring me until I gave in.

Second one was way easier than the first for me.  My first was an emergency, I think they gave me too high a dose of drugs, & my baby went to a children's hospital.  I think all the stress made recovery harder.  The second time was a breeze. I'm having my third c-section in 38 days but now have a 3 & 5 year old so I know that in itself will add a different spin to recovery.

My c section went great and it was an easy recovery for me. Im not going to be very upset if I end up having to have another :) I know some people get crushed when that plan falls through though. Was your recovery harder after your second?

I went for a VBAC with my last baby but he was overdue with no signs of wanting to come out so I had to have another c section.
