My husband does the same thing with me, where he isn't patient and wait for kicks. This is my first child, but his third. I got really upset one day and asked for an explanation, and he did a horrible job of explaining. But on the second try a couple of days later, he said that with his first child, it was exciting and new and that he didn't know what it meant to love like a father. But when his ex was carrying their second child, he just wanted to hold the baby after he was born. He said that feeling the kicks compared to holding the baby was nothing, so he couldn't get excited about it. So I understood a little better then. Doesnt mean my feelings weren't hurt! I love feeling my baby move she's a little acrobat already

I was going to ask the same question as lorinewmum. But me and my husband are on our second child together and with the first he seemed very eager and interested in touchin my stomach and wantin to feel the baby move, even feeling a little down when he couldn't feel her kicks yet. Now I have to ask him to touch my stomach and then I can tell he gets impatient when she isn't moving right then so I just move his hand. I've asked him why he acts different this time, he just says he wants to wait till my stomach and baby are bigger that way he doesn't have to wait to feel her move but something just feels different to me... sorry so long

Why do men seem uninterested in knowing about when the baby kicks? I would tell my hubby that baby is kicking and he is quite hesitant to touch my belly.
