He is here! (bit long)

on Monday I gave birth to my beautiful son at 02.46 Weighing 8ibs 1. He was 9 days late. Not knowing what to expect as I'm a ftm.

I went into labour on sunday and by 9.30pm my contractions were  2 mins apart, when We got to the hospital I was 4cm this was at 10.15pm. By now I still had no pain relief. 45 mins late I was on gas and air worked a treat until I had pethidine at 1.20 by this time I had so much pressure that all I wanted to do was push. I was late in having this as just be for 2 am I had dilated to 9cm! I pushed for all of 20 mins and welcomed my little boy into my arms. My waters went 10 mins before pushing and once they went all my contractions stopped and I had pressure pushing down.

I couldn't have done this without my partner he was my rock throughout. I did bleed after birth and lost around 500mls of blood along with a 2nd degree tear. I didn't feel the tear as it happened. Being a mum is the best thing in the world.
