Just got promoted to director at 16 weeks. No one knows I'm pregnant tho... I work in sports and primarily all men so I'm not gonna say anything until I absolutely have to.
As a mgr, I myself appreciate being told, so that I can. Prepare for the drs appointments they will need off as well as maternity leave. I have had two of my staff have babies, and I was so understanding about any and all time they needed off. Where as if it were just someone constantly asking for time off and no real reason... That gets tiresome.
I told my boss at 8 weeks, but I am also very close with her. I didn't announce it to eveyone else until 16 weeks. Everyone is so much nicer to me, offering lunch, help carrying things ect. It's actually kind of nice having people know.
I have decided not to tell them at all. They'll figure it out sooner or later. I work for a government agency so they follow all laws against discrimination of any kind. I know they legally cannot even ask, so it's kind of fun.
I told my boss at 8 weeks i had also been at my job for over a year.
I told my superviser upon being hored at 4 weeks pregnant and told my boss at 12 weeks. I work in homecare and lifting people becomes a regular thing as well as furnature and working alone. I got congrats from both and both are ultrasound techs for the heart so i get free ultrasounds haha
I just started a new Jon when I was 13 weeks. Told them first day, they were pretty ok. I was a bit scared to say, but it's better to get it done with!
Well when I found out I was 9 months new to the company and also 1 month pregnant. I just walked into the managers office and said " welllllllll, I just found out that I'm pregnant..." got congrats and everything was fine. Things happen and they should understand. Take it easy but tell them soon just in case they need coverage, they'll appreciate that. Good luck
