water broke!

Felt an urge to pee 10 minutes after 8 had just peed at 11pm last night I sat on the toilet and it was a lot of liquid. I thought it could still be urine so I laid down for 30 minutes and stood up and walked around and sure enough warm fluid was trickling down my leg. I did the lay down and sit up thing 3 more times to make sure I wasn't crazy and every time clear fluid was leaking out. Cord was not visible and fluid was clear without any contractions so I decided to take a shower and try to rest. I slept without any contractions. Just waiting on my mom to get here (3 hour drive) to watch my 2 girls now 11am. Still praying contractions will start soon so I can get my vbac after 2 csections. 39w2d. 1cm dilated yesterday and doc unable to strip my membranes at appt yesterday.

Labor should start within 12 hours of water breaking.  As long as you don't go sit in a dirt pile, the risk of infection is minimal. Happened with two of my three. Good luck!

You should have called her much sooner imo. Now that your water has broken you and baby are at higher risk of infection. I had a friend who lost their baby from infection when the hospital sent her home with her water broken. Have you called your doc yet?
