Yep, call your Dr. and just let him know.  Mine kept telling me if I felt anything different to call him.

I haven't had any yet!  I think my little guy wants to stay in here permanently!  I do realize that I am only 34 weeks 5 days, so a little bit further behing that you all - but still - I haven't had any contractions.  I am jealous (not of the pain, just the fact that you guys are going to deliver before me).  I do have the occassional non-painful braxton hicks contractions (several a day), but thats it for me.

I dont know if your using a doctor or midwife but my midwife says 2 minutes apart for 2 hours, I had them the other night for 2 hours 3 minutes apart but I dont think they were painful enough and she also said labor can start and stop several times before the real thing

The general rule is 6 or more per hour - basically 10 min. apart for a consistent hour, you GO no matter WHAT kind they are.  They need to be consistent like if you have one at 7:39 you should have another one at right about 7:49, etc.  More than likely, especially with your first, they will send you home a time or two but better safe than sorry!   If they are sporadic like 4 min. apart and then 9 min. apart, and then 15 min. apart, etc. it's probably just braxton hicks.  Good luck!

I would call my doc and if you can't get a hold of them I'd just go in if you're concerned at all! Better safe than sorry!

Good Luck!
