37 weeks and 4 days pregnant

hey everyone.

i am 37 weeks + pregnant and well im sorry if this is too much information, but i've been having a lot of bowel movements these past few days, like 2-4 times a day, but it isn't diarrhea. I was just wondering if this was an early labor sign or what. can anyone relate? thank you for your help.

I am 37 weeks and 2 days pregnant, I just came home from the hospital and while I was there they checked my cervix and he said it was closed and .4. Does anyone know what that means? And also I would like to know what contractions feel like in detail please. I had a c-sec with my daughter who was early and never experienced labor, never had a contraction, I don't even think I have had bh contractions, can someone help me please? I was in hospital for pnuemonia by the way, not for baby.

i am pretty sure the baby has dropped considering i am carrying a lot lower than i was like a week ago, and i have to go to the bathroom all the time. and nope contractions haven't started yet, but i do have the braxton hicks contractions here and there. and i haven't lost my mucus plug yet either. and thanks soo much, i am getting soo nervous. good luck with you also, you are definitely getting there :) !

It might be. "Loose bowels" can be a sign of pre-labor, but that can last 2-4 weeks before labor begins. I've been having bowel movements about that often as well lately and I am 35 weeks. The baby seems like she dropped really low and is pressing very hard on my bladder. It's been really uncomfortable.
Has your baby dropped? Have you been having any contractions? Have they been regular?  Do you know if you've lost your mucus plug? These all may be signs of early labor as well. In early labor your contractions should be at regular intervals and will not go away if you change positions (e.g. lay down) or drink fluids. Good luck you are so close! :)
