found out i'm pregnant the other day, afraid to tell my mom.

Hey there, so is my first post, so bare with me. I found out a few days ago that I'm pregnant. I took three tests to be sure (haha yeah, I know...crazy). I have an appt. on Monday morning at my local pregnancy care center. I'm 19, almost 20 in a few days. I am absolutely TERRIFIED to tell my mom. She will want to kill me, kick me out, etc. I'm afraid of what she's gunna do/say whenever I do end up telling her. Any advice? It's not like I just sit at home doing nothing 24/7 though. I have a job, I go to college part time and I'm a pretty good person all around, who decided to have sex and now has to deal with her choices. The father is well...in shock right now (that is a whole different bunch of craziness there, i'll get to that at some point). So yeah, any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. My guess is that I'm about 4weeks, 4days? I'll find out Monday for sure. Hope to get some good advice from everyone!

Lol. I took 3 at home tests & made the doc give me one. I couldn't convince myself that I was pregnant! I too was scared to tell my mom. I called her & said mom, are you sitting down? Then told get the news. She took it incredibly well. I believe she was more excited than I was at the moment! I'm sure your mom will take the news better than you think, after all it is a blessing. (:

I'm sorta in the same boat Hun. I'm 6weeks, 20years old and plan on telling my mom tomorrow night when I have her over for dinner. I think it would be a good idea to not just flat out tell her if you think it maynot go so well, so maybe be creative.. I make jewelry so I stamped "great mothers get promoted to grandmothers " on a metal pendant. But you can make a card with that saying or put it in a picture frame. Also if you are going to have an ultrasound maybe make that part of it? Just some non traditional ideas. I hope all is well Hun!

Your mum might surprise u and be really helpful and supportive, I was 19 with my first and my mum was real shocked but after the talk she was happy and excited about being a grandma. Good luck and congratulations!! Xx
