7 weeks and confused About prenatal vitamins

What is a prenatal vitamin in general? I take 1 my of folic acid per day as per my doctors advice. But I use to have a slight anemiac condition. I wanted to know if my doctor has missed anything important. Can we take parental vitamins at week 7?

I take prenatal tablet everyday with chocolate milk that has DHA.  I also take an iron pill twice a week for anemia.  If you want to take a natural approach, eat iron rich foods and cook with an iron skillet.  Also carnation instant breakfast drink(powder)  have vitamins and folic acid for extra vitamin boost if you feel you need it. I enjoy all flavors.

Thanks a lot I shall talk with my doctor about the vitamins. When I asked him the other day he said prenatal vitamins should be taken from the second trimester onwards.

You should take a prenatal it is almost impossible to get all the nutrients you and baby need in food alone. I started taking one before I was even pregnant and my doctor recommend it when I told her I planned on starting to get pregnant.
