Can emotions affect baby!

Im pregnant with my first and am going on five weeks. I got upset last night for a stupid reason--these hormones!-- and I felt my abdomen begin to cramp! I breathed to calm my emotions and it stopped in a minute, but it scared me! Has anyone else felt this?

I'm 5 weeks and I have been having cramps for a few days that got me a bit upset, sometimes they're unbearable, is this something I need to worry about?

Cramps are normal. Totally normal. And no, emotions do not affect the baby but stress can. Just stay calm and breathe if you get upset. It's okay. Every mommy to be gets this. I am 7 weeks and can't even watch finding nemo without crying. Pregnancy is like going through puberty and being on your period at the same time. Just hang in there (:
