2 Weeks and counting....Seriously this time!

So I went to the dr. today and was checked, poked for blood and told my worst nightmare...

I was in the middle of being checked and of course, I asked how I was coming along, and he was like "Head's Down, and no dialation in the cervix, but it doesn't matter, you're having a CSection anyway." WHAT!?!
This whole pregnancy I have asked him multiple times if it were possible to deliver vaginally even after my c/s with my first son. "Oh, no worries, we can do naturally." He even pulled my surgery report to make SURE I could have her naturally....I'm so frustrated, to be told so late in the game that I can't have what I anticipated all along...Booo...
So, girls my lovely estimated Due Date is 10-08-08, with no time scheduled yet. I go in one more time next Tues. to nail down a time. Good luck to everyone this week with all dr. appt's

Did you put up a really good fight about it?  Maybe he doesn't realize how important is is to you to avoid another section?

I'm sorry about all this--that's really not cool of him.

But hey, you'll be the day after me (I'm getting my third c-section!) unless Elijah comes early (which I'm praying for daily).:)

OOh I would be mad. My first was a section with priors being Vbac. This time around I told my OB early that unless I or the baby was in jeopardy Vbac was the only way. If there was a problem to send me somewhere else. Sometimes its not the doctor but the hospital where you will deliver.

I have switched hospitals late in the game because my OB might be out of town when I go into labor. When I was 19 (39 now) I actually told my doctor then that if there was a problem I would have my baby at home. I think he thought I was crazy enough to do that and actually sent me to a different doctor that would give me what I wanted.

I understand that this late in the game it is hard to make demands but I would be P*SSED! I keep hearing how its better for the doctors practice to do repeat sections than to allow a mother a Vbac for legal reasons. ****! JMO

Sorry to hear you won't get your birth of choice but congrats on knowing when your LO will be in your arms.

Yeah, I know what to expect, vividly...oh the pain...I'll definately limit visitors THIS TIME, while in the hospital, so that I can get my rest and strength back...My advice to ANYONE that has to have a Caesarean,.....REST REST AND MORE REST...don't let anyone bully you into seeing visitors if you aren't up to it. Heck, even if you THINK ouare are up to it, because you have to stay longer with a C/Section, do it for me girls!!....Get rest first, then see everyone that you want to visit at HOME, you'll thank yourself later. Trust me.

Sorry to hear.  That is a bummer.  Hopefully he knows best and which would be the safest.  At least you know what to expect this time!

Original Due Date was 16th, then moved up to 11th of Oct. I don't know why all of a sudden...I asked the nurse, and she said its just too much of a risk, on paper, due to maybe being sued...blah blah...I dunno. But your right, Now, I know what date.

When was your original due date? I know that you must be angry. But why did they all of a sudden decide that you couldn't have her naturally? I would be upset too! But look at it this way, You know what day you will have your baby.
