Well the day finally came and went. We got admitted into the hospital and induced Oct. 1, 2009. It was a long wait to that day. I was originally due Oct. 9 but due to my impatience and being very uncomfortable my Dr. let me be induced. We checked in at 1am that morning. We had him straight up at 5pm that afternoon. He was 7lbs. 14.9 oz and 19.5 inches long. Labor and Delivery was farely easy. I have bronchitis and every time I coughed his head would try to come out during delivery. Nurses were trying to keep me from coughing until the Dr. got there. LOL. We were released from hospital Saturday evening at 4pm. We are very glad to be out and be home. He has been on Bili lights for his jaundice since Monday so he can only be held when fed or changed which means I am the one that gets to hold him 95 percent of the time since he is being breast fed. The pediatric home health nurses come out every morning to stick his foot and get blood so they can make sure his levels are going down. Hope they are down in the next day or two so I can hold my son without having to feed him. This is very stressful considering I wanted a baby I could bring home and snuggle unlike with my first one that had to stay in NICU for two weeks but now I cant snuggle this one. Hopefully that changes and SOON. I also want to say Congrats to all you new moms out there and Good Luck to all you upcoming new moms as well. Hope your labor and delivery goes well.
