October Pumpkins -- 3 Month Check-Up

Hi ladies! How has everyone been? I was thinking that maybe every quarter (3 months or so) we do a check in on our October Babies.

Talk about if your (October) Pumpkin is holding their head up, teething, how much are they eating, pooping (lol), any tips you can share, i.e. getting your baby to sleep, if they go to daycare, how is your return back to work, how was it over the holidays, etc.

Copy and paste the below format and began bragging..We want to hear everything...BRAG, BRAG AND BRAG!! Let's hear it!

Share your 3 month Check up story: I didn't go as DH is a stay at home parent.  We have a new dr that they all really like.  The biggest thing is she suggested to give her Vitamin D and take her out of our son's room until she can push things away (about the time she starts to crawl/6 monts or so).  We need to figure out where we'll put her now...  She CAN roll over if she wants to, but she stops herself because she hates her belly.  We also were told she needs more belly time.  Today DH put her on her belly she was so upset she just crashed!  She's so happy and just hates belly time so we haven't done that too much.  She's still eating about the same and sleeping all night.

Same as szw2008 said, she is the complete opposite of our first!  She's so mellow and would rather just watch everything that's going on, our son was always on the move, he didn't want to be held he wanted to try to move and get into things!

Baby's Name: Jett Date of Birth:
Weight: 16 lbs
Height: 25"
Share your 5 month Check up story: Well we are on our 5th month now! As you all know Jett was 5 weeks early, so we are a little ahead of ya'll age wise! Jett just starting rolling over and scooting this week. He is now 21 weeks old! He seems to be developing so fast, I just know he will be crawling and walking not soon after. He can already stand and hold himself up almost by himself. He is eating solid foods (peas, green beans, squash, rice cereal ans sweet potatoes) He smiles 24/7. He is probably the happiest bby I've ever seen. He loves playing in his jeep walker and pressing all the buttons! He also sleeps the whole night now! He is babbling a lot and I'm still waiting to hear him giggle! It seems like time is flying so fast and he reaches these milestones way quicker than I am ready for!

Baby's Name: Jacob Rylan
Date of Birth: 10/7/10
Weight: 15 lbs 11 oz
Height: 24"
Share your 3 month Check up story: Lordy, where to start... Jacob laughs and giggles all the time. I rarely see him without a smile on his face. He holds his head up really well when I'm holding him, but when I lay him on his belly he just gets really mad. He's sleeping pretty much all night now. Eating about 4 to 6 oz every 3 hours. He loves car rides and sitting in his bouncy seat.

He is NOTHING like my first. My first about killed me (and still tries I swear). Jacob is such a happy baby!

Baby's Name: Brady
Date of Birth: Oct 27, 2010
Weight: at 2 month check-up 14lbs (9lbs 3oz at birth)
Height: 25"
Share your 3 month Check up story: Brady is amazing and his personality is so great. He is a content and happy baby. He has had great head control and can stand with support even at his 6 week check-up. He's not a fan of tummy time but we work on it every day...he's getting better now that he can support himself a lot more. He always just tries to eat the floor or the pillow he's on. Ever since he's found his hand he's been trying to eat it too! LOL

He's amazing at breastfeeding...latches like a pro and is still feeding during the day every 2-3 hours. He has just started this week almost sleeping through the night. He goes down any time between 9:30-11:30 and will sleep till about 5. Sometimes he will wake up at 3 as well and then he's up for the day at about 8am. He's all smiles in the morning.

He's a little momma's boy. When he wants to nap he has a habit of snuggling his face into whatever he can, usually me. It worries me when he does this because of the fear of SIDS but I usually hold him and let him snuggle his face in my arm and he's out in no time. He also likes a blanket really close to his face and once he's out I take it away from his face.

He is just amazing and I love him to pieces. DH is such a great daddy as well!

Baby's Name: Naomi
Date of Birth: 10/1/2010
Weight: 10lbs 12 oz at 11 weeks
Height: 23 3/4 in
Share your 3 month Check up story: Well to begin with she is holding her head up and has been for some time now. She can sit up supported too. She is so fascinated and bright eyed with everything. She started teething at 12 weeks and her first tooth seems to be trying to make its debut already. She has gotten more fussy again since she started teething. I am so ready for the tooth to come in so maybe she can get back to herself. There is nothing that seems to help and I have tried everything. I cant wait to take her to the doctor for her 4 month check up to see how much she has grown! She can stand when supported and now has tried to start moving her feet when standing an manages a few steps. She keeps her toes curled up all the time though its so cute. If you put her on her stomach she uses her feet and tries to move herself forward. She smiles all the time and I love to hear her laugh. She eats 5 or 6 times a day and after her last feeding she goes to sleep for the night. She normally lets me have about 8 or 9 hrs and has since she was a month old. Everyone keeps telling me she is going so fast in her development b/c she is getting out of the way for another baby. I sure hope not. Not yet any way want her to have some time just to herself. Maybe a 3 year gap who knows its up to God. But I do know I am changing OB's and I am gonna try to have a VBAC b/c I am a firm believer in the fact that your body will not make a baby bigger than you can deliver.

Baby's Name: Navy
Date of Birth: 10-02-2010
Weight: at 2 month check up (she doesn't have a 3 month check up) 10 lbs 4 ozs
Height: 22 1/4
Share your 3 month check up story: I cannot believe how big our babies are getting! Navy can now push herself onto her elbows and try to put her legs under her, she can roll over, sit up if she has support and stand if she has support. She smiles all the time and seems like she is going to laugh at any moment but it never happens. She's been sleeping through the night since 1 month old and has continued that trend. Her new thing is if she hears another baby cry she starts crying. She also likes to try to hold things and yank my hair.

Baby's Name: Peri
Date of Birth: 10-6-10
Weight:  At 2 months she was 12lbs 7oz
Height: 25 inches
Share your 3 month Check up story: My little girl is doing great, she loves to smile and talk. I swear she didn't get this from me, she was cooing and talking for 30 minutes the other day. Then went right to sleep. LOL My family jokes that she gets that from her big sister and my mom. All of them can talk you to death. LOL Anyways Peri can hold her head up for a minute when laying on my chest. I tell her she's trying to show out. :D She is the best baby ever! She sleeps thru the night and I believe she has begun teething. She loves to bite her thumb. I put my finger in her mouth and you would thought she walked on the moon. Her eyes lit up and she bit down hard. I started to worry because I said she was going to bite me while nursing and sure enough that night she let me have it. LOL Santa brought her a little soft seahorse that sings and a gym. Peri almost is pulling the bear on the gym to make the music. Peri also has ezcema and we have been using a cream and its clearing her skin up also with a steriod cream the dr gave us. She also has cradle cap and the dr said to use head and shoulders (who knew) but that seems to be working. I look forward to her trying to crawl.
