When I started a POP pill (because I am breastfeeding) I spotted on and off for about a month then I've had nothing. I'd say after a month or two it should stop.
I was also told it can take your body 5+ years to fully get back to how it was before pregnancy, hang in there, I'm sure it'll get back to normal eventually!
So I did get AF about 8 or 9 weeks post c section and I went on LoEstrin BCP. Now I have been having mid-cycle bleeding last month and this month that is lasting like 5 days and it's like a regular period. It's been really frustrating. Wondered if anyone has had a similar experience? I am really hoping it's just an odd side effect of the pill and not something my body is going to do every month because I'm just geting old and my body is weird now after having 2 kids. :( I had them switch my pill to a different brand to see if that helps. I'm just so worried that this is going to be my life...and it really bites...
Trust me I know its not a good form of BC. I am taking the mini pill so you dont have to worry about me not being cautious. I deff. do not want another little one yet. Maybe when Naomi is three but not till then I hope. But that is up to God.
@ coca you are a milk machine :D I'm only getting about 34oz or so. I pump for her morning feeding before work and while Im at work I get about 14oz and then I pump twice when I get home. Any tips? Doing anything special?
I'm taking the mini pill and breastfeeding/pumping. I pump between at least 50 oz a day many times about 60. I have a 9 hour break in the middle of the night. I've been spotting on and off since 6 weeks. My Midwife said it's normal with the mini-pill and I think part of it is the middle of the night too because most of the bleeding is when I first wake up.
And yes, it is VERY possible to get pregnant even when breastfeeding and you haven't gotten AF. I know of two people who that happened to.
Some women will start bleeding right away when breastfeeding (regardless of how much they pump/feed). Others get it when they give up there middle of the night feedings/pumpings, and others yet will get it when they decrease the amount of milk they express.
@ Tiff you may not get your AF but it's still possible to get pregnant. Be careful, unless you want another one right away :D
Bleeding after delivery stopped 3 1/2 weeks after i delivered and then got mines 6 weeks after delivery.
I have had one AF since my daughter's birth 2 months ago. I had bleeding from delivery and then it stopped at about 6 weeks for a few days and then I got AF, which is wierd for me because I never get AF. Well I started birth control just to be on the safe side.
Yes I have heard that with BF you don't get AF most times...I don't know because I'm not breast feeding. Most of my bleeding from the birth stopped within a month but now like I said, just "signs" here and there but then nothing. It's really annoying. I've also had O pains and some CM...so I don't know what is going on and I've been feeling cruddy so I wish if it was going to come along I wish it would do so!!!
Ready: He is doing well. We are having issues with spitting up and reflux but it's more annoying than anything...doing laundry like crazy!! How are you and your babe??
Im BF my little girl an she will be nine weeks friday and i have started bleeding twice since my 6 week visit. I am having ovulation like pains an I am bleeding not sure if AF or not. But I always thought and was told you didnt get your AF if BF bc bodies natural birth control. IDK im confused.
I was wondering if and when you do get it when breastfeeding? I'm still bleeding from having my son but it was only 5 weeks ago. HA! Only....it feels like it's been forever that I've been bleeding. It's more spotting but still! Not fun!
I've had twinges like I'm ovulating. I've always been able to notice ovulation pains.
You know I was wondering the same thing and I'm BFing. I had some brown spotting since last week and back pain but that's about it. How is your little one?
