when should I feel my babies moving?

Hi all! I am 15w3d pregnant with twins. I have three questions:1.When should I feel my babies moving? 2.And if I felt something once how often at the beginning should I feel these movements? 3. What week can I find out the gender of my little ones?

Im 16 weeks pregnant with twins this is my 3rd pregnancy and i only over the last week have felt kinda flutters my doctor said it is the babies moving around but they wont get stronger until later in the pregnancy as they are so small at the moment. As this is my 3rd pregnancy tho i kinda know what to look for but if it is your first then you wont be as sure but i would say anything from 15 weeks on you can feel flutters. I dont feel them everyday maybe every other day they wont get regular for a couple of weeks yet maybe after 20 weeks you start feeling them every day. I have an ultrasound in 2 wks 2 find out the gender so around 18 weeks you should be able to find out the genders but it all depends on what position the babies are in some women find out anything from 12 weeks on. Congrats on the twins.

Hey girl! 1. From what I have read you won't feel your babies move (even with twins) until about 18 weeks or so. Yours will probably be stronger movements due to the double occupancy 2. The girls are right, most of the first movements feel like gas bubblies but because you are pregnant with twins yours will probably be doubled! At first, the movements might happen a few times a day and then nothing for another day and then even more the next... It really depends on how strong your uterus and abdominal muscles are and how the babies are positioned. 3. Gender: I am going to say anytime between 15 weeks and 20 weeks. For you it might be more difficult just because there are two in there but if you ask your doctor they might do it earlier than normal because there are two and it might not be able to get such a good pic once they are mushed up together!
CONGRATS on the twins!!!!

Most of the times the first movements in early pregnancy (especially if this is your first) is just gas bubbles. You won't feel any kicking or anything like that... in a way or at least to me the first movements felt like worms in my belly. Foreign and weird at the same time... its kinda like when you get excited/nervous and have that weird feeling in your stomach. Hence why they probably say it feels like butterflies.

As for ultrasounds it depends on if its the doctor giving it or an actual clinic that specializes in it. Also it depends on how good the equipment is. If someone goes to a clinic that has great top of the line equipment most likely they will be able to find out sooner. I was told at 13 weeks that I might be having a boy... I haven't bought ANYTHING gender specific yet since I wont really trust it until after 18 weeks. 18-20 weeks is usually when they do the gender screening.

1) If it's your first they say around 20 weeks, but you could feel things before or after the 20 weeks.  If it's not your first they say 17 weeks, although many I've talked to said around 15-16 weeks is when some second time mom's feel the movements (I felt mine around 15 weeks).  With my first I didn't feel anything till I was at least 20 weeks.  I also think it depends on how in tune to things you are, this time around every little thing I feel I try to figure out if it was the baby or something else (generally based on where I felt the movement and what it felt like).  No one can really tell you if you felt the baby or not, you basically need to determine where you felt it, what it felt like, and how often it happens.  Many women mistake gas as the baby movement, even if you don't "feel" gassy, you still have gas bubbles in your belly.  At 15 weeks the top of your uturas should be between your belly button and pelvic bones.

2) At first it won't be much.  You might feel something one day then nothing for a while.  Others feel a little something every day.  It also varies for what it feels like.  Some say it feels like a butter fly, for me it kinda feels like there's a snake in my belly (or something like that).  Once you start feeling stronger movements you will start to feel the baby more often, but when it's just little things you may not feel much at first.

3) I heard someone said they found out at 12 weeks.  Most common it's after 15 weeks.  Many dr's might not schedule a gender ultrasound until after 20 weeks (Mine's scheduled for almost 21 weeks).

I'm wondering the same thing about movements myself. I heard you should start feeling them sooner because there is two.
I get to find out the gender when I'm 16 1/2 weeks. Generally its between 16-20 weeks.
