our labor story!

I went in for my prenatal appt last Wednesday. Apparently my blood pressure was really high as well as protein in my urine.I never ever had a problem with blood pressure until the very end.I was told to go to the labor and delivery to monitor my bp to see if it goes down then they would let me go. But that didnt happen lol. It kept rising while I was there.. so the doc said if it continues to be high then they would have to induce me. They did some blood work on me and that became another problem. I already knew I was anemic but it was very low that day and apparently my platelet was dangerously low. Which explains alot now that I think about it. I use to bleed alot when I brushed my teeth, my heart would always beat very fast.. so I had to have an emergency csection. They had to put me under general anesthesia in case I would bleed so much that they would have to give me a transfusion or would have a problem stopping the blood (a problem that has to do with low platelets my blood doesnt clot) luckily everything went well. I went in at about 7 for surgery and babygirl was born at 8:33pm Oct 22nd. Its an experience that kind of makes me not want to have another kid lol but my heart melts everytime I see her face. Now all my bloodwork is back to normal and my bp is normal. Thank god. Thanks for reading and good luck ladies!

My story was almost identical only I'm not anemic... but thankfully everything went back to normal afterwards for me also. Never had to deal with high blood pressure before and I hope I never have to again, it was not a fun experience but so worth it all in the end. Congrats mommy :)
