Can you say NO to induction when everything is normal?

I am 40wks+3days. My chart says everything is in good shape but this afternoon the other Dr. ( my Dr. is on vacation the whole week) told me to get induced tomorrow. My husband is against it unless there's medical reason for it. So I cancelled it. Am I doing the right thing? Please share your thoughts.
Thanks Mommies.

I was against being induced bc everything looked fine, moving fine, great heart rate, etc. Decided to go a head and induce and thank God I did. Ended up with a c section after the Dr broke my water and there was meconium in the water. She wasn't tolerating the induction. When the Dr got her out she had the cord around her neck twice. Thankfully she was fine. But sometimes our bodies won't progress normally bc there are other factors going on.

I am 40wks 6d now, no signs of labor. I am a little worried but patiently waiting. I have an appointment with my Dr.. on Monday. We'll see if he'll say about iinduction again.

I am currently 40 weeks 6 days pregnant and I have told my midwives no. We are getting an ultra sound on Monday and if they see anything concerning we will then revisit the topic. I have already had my membranes stripped and still haven't gone into labor.

I agree with the person above me, it is your baby. If you are still questioning it, research the risks of being induced as well as going so far over due
