I just drink lots of water and I'm constantly eating throughout the day. My daughter is gaining weight like crazy, so I'm not worried about my milk production at all. But I wouldn't weigh yourself for at least a week, your still full of fluids so it makes it look like your still the same weight or not even close to what you truly weigh.

I am 2.5 weeks postpartum and am back to my pre pregnancy weight.  I gained a total of 28lbs during pregnancy and am currently breastfeeding.  I'm not sure how I did it (maybe for once I'm lucky in the body department...)  but my husband has been in charge of cooking every meal and has made well balanced, healthy meals.  I'm also not snacking between meals since I'd rather be sleeping or cuddling my son.  I was sore enough that getting up and walking all the way to the kitchen was too much work just for a snack. :-)  I'm not exercising at all because too much back and forth leg movement rubs certain lady parts the wrong way. I'm also drinking tons of water. Probably more then I did while pregnant.

Sounds like most of us lost the weight quickly. I only waited a week to start walking a lot because I gave birth vaginally too. With a cesarean, it sounds better to walk right away. But my stomach is probably almost as flat now as it was before I was pregnant but with lots of stretch marks. Lol. But definitely do as all of us said, lots of water, healthy foods, walking when your up to it and breastfeeding!

My boy is 12 days old. I weighed myself 2 days ago and had lost 14kg (28lb). I've another 7kg (14lbs) to go to be pre-pregnancy weight. I'm breast feeding and have been so hungry I'm surprised I've lost so much so soon. I retained a lot of water the last few weeks of pregnancy and was really puffy, so I think the weight loss might be mostly water (and baby, placenta, blood loss from cesarean section etc.) Also, my belly is looking how I did at 19-20 weeks pregnant which I'm happy about. The next few pounds may be harder to loose and a flat belly may have to remain part of my past :) but I'm hopeful considering my progress so far

I just have breastfed and I'm almost 3 weeks postpartum and have lost 22 lbs and I'm 13 lbs roughly away from my pre pregnancy weight. But I also walk around a lot now. Take at least a week or so to rest up. You don't want to rush trying to work out or anything because it makes you bleed heavier. Breastfeeding definitely helps get rid of the weight faster because your burning so many calories each feeding. Plus drink tons and tons of water to help flush out your body and eat healthy foods, like fruits, veggies, breads, etc. I try to eat well rounded meals too for my daughter's health and my own. Just really focus on your health in what you put in your body right now and it will help you loose the weight. Good luck mama! :) enjoy your baby.
