Rash on Neck

So Amiah has quite the rash on her neck.  She's going to the DR. next week, but I'm wondering if other babies have this. It doesn't bother her, but it sure looks like an allergic reaction.  We've been putting Aquaphor on it...Any suggestions?

Anywhere that it gets moist and warm yeast can multiple rapidly causing an infection.  Nothing serious, hopefully the med will help!

Hmm.  Well, she had a Dr. appointment on Thursday and she was given an rx for a yeast infection! Yuck!  I never heard of a yeast infection on your neck, but she had it.  Pneumonia scares me!  She did start coughing on Sat. but we thought it was because my husband gave her his cold.  I'll watch her. Thanks for the info!

It's possible it could be related to another illness. When DS2 was 2 months old he got these weird red bumps all over his belly, chest, back, face etc.  It didn't seem to bother HIM but it worried me so I took him to the ER.  They couldn't explain the rash but started looking for other things.  They did a chest xray and found he had a little bit ofearly pnuemonia in his right lung.  He wasn't coughing or showing any signs of respiratory problems. I think the rash was just his bodies way of letting us know somethign was going on.  Shortly after they started the antibiotics for the pnuemonia it went away.

No, but she did have that when she was 4 months old.   Its almost over now, but it was pretty much all around her neck and I think it was due to her having a recent cold.  Not sure.  Thanks!

Does it look like a few red little spot things, right at the base of the hairline on the back of her neck?
