Pain in belly button.

I am having sharp pains in my belly button and I don't know whether I should be worried or if it could also be the baby pushing herself onto my belly button. I am due Sept. 23 and was wondering if I should worry? Please let me know, thanks.

I have been having pains from 31 weeks. and the pain is not tolerable at all. I sometimes cry bcos it hurts so much. I went to emergency once. My doc said since the baby is kick near some nerves or near kidney I have been having the pain. I just have to sit and do nothing for 15 mins or so till he stops kicking in that area and the pain stops. Some times I sleep and turn from side to side.(With help of my husband) I dont think it help but just keep trying

So glad someone else is feeling that too!!  It really hurts, but like Mariana101 said, massaging seems to help.

I was having those same pains!  I told the doctor about it and apparently my little girl was kicking or hitting some type of nerve on the back side of my belly button!  It seriously hurt!  I would double check with your doctor too just to be safe.

I think it's just the baby pressing hard BUT if you can time these pain and they are coming consitently then def call your doc and get to the hospital
