I am having my 4th child and my husband still doesn't care about the pregnancy. He has only gone to 3 apt, and most of the time forgets to ask me about the apt. he didn't come to. HOWEVER, he is one of the best dads I have ever seen in my life. His children love him so much and he loves them, he is so wonderful in so many ways. I was set on 3 children, but he asked for one more because he really loves being a dad. so pregnancy I swear some times he has forgotten this round, but after baby comes, very involved! :) Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy!

Yes. My bf did not care about shopping or anything until we knew what we were having with my first (he made me wait til 24wks!) And he is doing the same with this one lol. We will know sooner but he wont even look at big stuff until we know what it is or start the room like cleaning it out and patching holes and hanging trim and laying floor which is all stuff we could knock out now. Its harder for men at first bc they just dont have that attachment. They become more interested usually with kicks they can feel, and then "become fathers" at birth. Its very normal :) my bf swore up and down he would not watch our daughter be born, birth was nasty blah blah blah. He watched her from shoulders out til she came out completely. He couldnt believe there had actually been a human and she had hair and big bold beautiful eyes.  He was the first person in the room she looked at and that just sealed their bond. Im not even jealous it was the most beautiful moment ive ever seen between two people.

My boyfriend was not as excited in the beginning, but now since I'm having his son as he say,  he's so excited. He doesn't go to my doctor appointments, due to work. But he will go shopping with me for baby items.
Give him time. He will come around.

Hey hun I am in the same boat, we'll I'm only 8 weeks tomorrow and my boyfriend has a 4 yr old in another state he never sees or was around for the birth. He wasn't excited until we seen the heart beat yesterday I think for men it's all about seeing your belly grow and hearing or seeing the baby. Cause of course for us it's different but as time goes on he should be more involved.y boyfriend won't start buying stuff till I start showing
