6 wks Ultra sound showed empty sac

Has any one ever seen two sacs with one being empty? I went in for my first ultra sound at 6 weeks and saw one sac with a baby and it's HB was strong. There was another sac that had nothing in it. The US tech paid no attention to it. I've been researching on the Internet and have found some woman have gone back weeks later to find a second baby and HB. Has anyone experienced this?

I have this. I was pregnant with fraternal twins and lost one early on. It could be u r pregnant fraternally (got pregnant while ur pregnant) or one has not developed. Either way don't worry.one strong heartbeat is great news. Your body absorbs the other sac on most occasions which helps ur pregnancy , the proteins are good for the body. Gross I know, but try not to worry x

At my first ap I was 8 week's day, they said I had a vanishing twin. One sac with a baby and one without. She even found another tiny spot she thought may have even been a third!! But she said it started as twins and just never developed past the sac. I asked if it could later show up, it wasn't hiding or anything, she said no, that my body would more than likely just get rid of the extra Sac. Hope that helps

This will be my 2nd child & at my first appointment for this one I had the same thing. It could either be a vanishing twin or may just be a feeding sac. I go back when I'm 10 weeks 3 days. Keep me up dated. I'm currently 8 weeks 2days
