I was told to not lie on my back because it'll cut off circulation to the baby. Is this true?

Once u get bigger and further along no it is nit good at all cuts off oxygen to the baby and also makes it hard ur self to breathe.  Left side is best to sleep on gives more oxygen to the baby.  But at that point it will be anything in the world u can do to get comfortable enough to get even an hour of sleep.  I'm 39 weeks and 4 days,  due sat, and don't even remember what good sleep feels like

You're not supposed to sleep on your back after 20 weeks because of the pressure your baby and uterus can put on that main artery that runs along there and also the circulation can be cut off.

Your body will make you move due to pressure, dizziness, etc. Long before it is a danger to your baby. Sleep however you are comfortable! It 'can' decrease circulation, but again, your body will know it is time to reposition.

It won't definitely harm your baby, it just CAN. Have a look at the risk percentages, weigh it up with your own discomfort/disability and decide if you are comfortable with the risk. I roll onto my back in my sleep without knowing so I can't help it anyway!

Don't sleep on your back. Don't do it for the reason of making you comfortable. It has dangerous risks. We don't want to endanger our baby. You don't want to chance it. Take it from a mommy who has lost her baby before. Babies can die but let's not be responsible for letting it happen.
