I'm due Nov 7th with my 3rd baby its a girl..
Why did ur doctor say u might have a c section?...with my first i had an epidural. And my second i did all natural....its not as painful as doctors try to push meds way to much...once u get that epidural and brake ur water they put u on a time clock and if that baby don't come out there more likely to do a c section...i recommend watching the documentary movie "buisness of being born" its made by rickki lake....very informational!!! Gave me the impowerment to do natural birth

I'm really big on the skin to skin thing too. I didnt want to have a c-section at all but a big part of that is because want to be involved (as much as possible) with my delivery and i definitely want skin to skin.. i was worried that the anesthetic would interfere.. Talk to the the nurses at the hospital you are delivering at.. i did a tour that my hospital offered and it turns out they do skin to skin with both vaginal and C-section births.. im still scared of the possibility of C-section (because the idea of surgery freaks me out) but the anesthetic they use doesn't not impair your cognitive abilities.. knowing I will get to be involved in the delivery (at least be conscious and alert) and do the skin to skin thing if it does happen has helped to to elevate a lot of my fear.
