I have show reiners so trust me I rode until about 34 weeks. I have been riding 18 years though and being pregnant definitely makes it harder to balance and to keep from getting dizzy. I honestly don't think you should unless you know the horse extremely well and you are a very experienced rider

I've been riding horses since I was 3 years old and gave it up for college and family... working in the horse world I've come to find out most women get back into riding later in life unless you work really hard to keep it part of your routine and lifestyle. It's a dangerous sport and I really do miss it. I plan on getting back into riding and training when my kids are older. But at least while you pregnant it's not worth the risk.

It doesn't matter how experienced you are as a rider or how well you know the horse, it only takes them getting spooked once whilst you are riding them and you can be in a whole world of trouble. I've been riding for 17yrs but stopped as soon as I found out i was pregnant, it's not worth the risk.

I'd avoid it just in case of a fall, they are unpredictable after all. I can't wait to get back in the saddle!

I wouldn't.
Doctor told me I couldn't go on my skidoo because the bumps and any sudden start and stops could cause the placenta to detach.

Drs don't recommend it.

My mom rode up till a month before she had me. It depends on how experienced you are though, i wouldn't suggest it if your not experienced.

My doctor said I could until 36 weeks BUT  WHEN I was pregnant with my last I was hard headed I was 33 weeks I talked my bf into taking me riding on a horse u could sit a baby on and she would be so easy well needless to say while we were riding she bellied down with me on her and I fell  .  Off her I landed on my right side of oxide he made me go get baby checked everything was ok but that was two yrs ago and I am suffering bc I was pregnant I twisted so belly wouldn't het hit and when I landed I shifted my whole right side hip and back and tailbone forward almost an inch and now can't really do anything to help it so I recommend not riding until after baby just to be safe bcuz u never know what the horse will do
