Any moms who have a Rh negative blood type?

This is my first pregnancy I'm 22 weeks today and everything has been going good so far but today I was told that at 28 weeks I will have to get a shot because my blood is rh negative .. I googled to get a better understanding but that just scared me even more so I was hoping there are some moms who went through this and can tell me if everything went ok

I'm on my 4th child and I'm rh- I've never had any complications. I've always had the site at 28 weeks then again after birth. Just make sure if you do bleed at all to let you dr know.

it's just a shot to protect your baby.no worries.you will need a follow up shot after baby born.In case you get pregnant again.

I'm the same blood type and with my first baby it was pretty straight forward and I had my shot at 27 weeks and another when I gave birth. However I'm on my 2nd pregnancy now and because I keep having hemorrhages I have to have a shot every few weeks. If you suffer from any red, Brown or pink bleeding you will need to get a shot just to keep you protected. Don't worry though, with the injections you shouldn't have anything to worry about :)

When you deliver, your blood will mix with baby's. If the baby has Rh+ blood, it could pose trouble. They give you the RhoGAM to prevent antibodies you may have previously been exposed to from attacking baby's blood. It's 100% effective and you have absolutely nothing to worry about as long as you get the shot :)

As long as you get the shot there is nothing to worry about. :) I don't remember all the details but I know that you will have to get the shot every pregnancy including after any miscarriage or it poses risks to your future babies
