gestational diabetes

how do you deal with it? I was just diagnosed and have a class and a meeting with a dietician this coming FridayI am almost 33 'weeks and feel down about it.

I have it also for me personally I still eat just cut down my portions and eat sugar free candy when im craving something sweet.it is very difficult to go cold turkey lol

Thanks. yes I am scared.  I feel overwhelmed already.and haven't talked to the dietician yet good luck  to you too.

It's not so bad. I have it and am 20 weeks, controlling with diet and exercise for now.  It takes some getting used to, but can be managed.  The dietician will give you some great information on how to choose the best food options, how to check your sugar, what to look for, etc.  It can be scary at first but once you learn how to control it it becomes a second thought.  Good luck!
