I wouldn't recommend it just because we wouldn't know the effects til baby is born, but I am guilty of drinking heavily the first few months. I didn't know I was pregnant. My friend also drank up until 5th month & her daughter is now 1 years old, very healthy, beautiful, & smart. So it's up to you. Really limit your drinking. I would say no to alcohol at third trimester. Baby could be premature.

Both are fine I've been told by midwife that a glass of red wine will help with blood. Its a matter of how you feel and if you are already healthy and not high risk. Follow your gjt so many ppl will judge you. Bt if modern medicine and intervening from others didn't occur you would be following your maternal instinct anyways. Good luck!

Everyone is going to judge you anyway, what you feel is safe then do it. Either way there will be judgement towards it. Red wine is suppose to be good for you in moderation, personally I've never drank wine while pregnant with my first and don't plan to do it with this one either but I have friends and family that didnhave an occaional glass of wine during dinner and all of their children are fine and some of them are advanced. So it's what you feel is best. With my first pregnancy I didn almost everything down to the t and my son still was born with low blood sugar that wouldn't regulate, now he is fine but that just goes to show you not everything they tell you is going to prevent anything.

No one knows what amount is "safe" as far as alcohol simply because no doctor is willing test it out. Will a glass or two harm your baby? More than likely not. However there is a chance. It may be slightly but it's there. If you're willing to risk it. It really bothers me when people say "I drank" or "I smoked and all my babies are fine" that's great and you're lucky and so is everyone else in your shoes but it doesn't make doing so safe for your baby

Coffee in moderation. Like one or two cups a day.

I'm just curious thanks. I keep hearing so many different things about wine. I'm strictly water at the moment. So many things are scaring me I'm only 12 weeks I don't think I'll be drinking wine at all.

I drink wine on occasion when pregnant and so far have had 2 healthy babies and number 3 due any day. So do all of my friends and they all have healthy children and babies too. The type doesn't matter. Use your own judgement. I wouldn't do it too often or too much though. I probably have 4-5 glasses for the whole pregnancy. I have a friend that has some almost every week though and her babies are all fine.

You can't drink wine unless it's non-alcoholic. You can drink hot chocolate.
