my best friend was induced last week, I was with her the whole time. Prepare for a long night and make sure you have people around you that can take your mind off of it. you may change your mind about the epidural keep an open mind. I wish you good luck. The worst part is the waiting
Following. I'm getting induced Tuesday and scared.
I thought the induction required an epidural because the pitocin causes strong contractions
Im so relaxed and calm maybe because i dont know whats coming lol i rather be calm any ways and yes i will be keeping an open mind to the epidural :) hoping for a quick labor
I was induced on the 21st and gave birth to my baby boy at 7:17pm. The pitocin does give strong contractions and it hurts I took the epidural. It made for such an easier labor. Best of luck to you
Thank you and if its necessary epidural will b my best friend lol :) im more excited than anything to finally meet my daughter :)
Iw as induced with my first, its a long boring process. First you go.in get check in and changed to a gown, hook u up to monitors etc. Theyll break ur water witch is unpleasant to say the least. Then the start ur Patosin. . Itll taka while to feel anything.happen or thats how it was for.me, theyll be checking.on u etc you cant eat or drink once they get u going so sucky sour cabdy is ur best friend and ice chips. Um u can get the elidural if u wabt i went twn hours without and.my last seven with. Thats up to you, mine hurt baddd putting it in but after i was satisifed and enjoyed my birthing process. Good luck.
From my experience the IV meds were worthless. They don't work well, wear off quick and make you feel sick and drunk. The epidural worked great for me.
Oh and i tried the iv drugs...worked maybe 15 mins and it would make u feel drunk and then itd go away and right back.to pain. I dont recomend it,go for the epidural if u dont want the pain. Honest,
I was induced with my youngest baby girl and the waiting was the worst. The contractions due to the inducing were terrible but worth it. No epidural was used for either of my girls and I'm onto baby number three hoping for a boy. Good luck you can do it :)
Thank u girls im hoping i can get through it knowing ill have my reward at the end :) staying calm n positive :)
