I had my OB do a membrane stripping. It sounds awful but it wasn’t painful  at all.
If I were you I would also try doing pelvic floor stretches to open up your hips, and swimming helped me too!
I had my baby 4 days late, but she was healthy and I did it with no medications/ no IV/ no epidural/ no interventions. It was beautiful.
Keep up the good work!

Argh.  I was 10 days past due with my first.  Is this your first?  They are often late.  There are things people try but my experience is that baby comes when ready.  Pineapple, eating lots of it, is said to help.  How, I have no idea.  Keep up with the squats and walking and sex (if you can muster the energy for that) and simply having my cervix checked at appointments spurred me into contractions.  Let us know how it goes!!!
