Job search advice?

32 weeks, ftm. When I first found out I was prego, I was almost 2 months along and had been hired for a seasonal position, naturally I kept looking after finding out.. not making excuses but where I'm at we are overpopulated and have a high unemployment rate.. Anyways I was told by my boss at the time that I was getting hired on, well instead of giving the walking papers or anything I just stopped getting hours. I've been job hunting since then as I don't feel comfortable leaving finances up to my bf.. I've got nothing job wise and work stopped hours at the beginning of the year. 32 weeks sooo my dilemma is how far I am now, I've had no job luck even with a management background. . Idk if I should stop looking since I'm so close and if I do stop, how long after birth should I start again? I plan to breastfeed and once he's here I can only work weekends. We aren't hurting for money but my bf is stressed and does make stupid comments about my not working, thinks getting a job is easy and also thinks that me leaving the babe to work will be easy. He says a month after the baby's born to start hunting again. . Honestly is feel that's pretty quick and know ppl who take off 3 months before going back to work. Sorry it's long, I just need some feedback and am starting to stress out :(

That is not right of them to stop your hours for you being pregnant i think you can sew for that but its no point in looking now you can look for places that help you get baby stuff maybe a group or parenting classes that offer help with baby and just start back looking after baby born

You won't be able to get a job until after 6 weeks post birth. Some states have laws for breastfeeding mothers that allows them extra breaks to pump at work. Remember though your baby will be in daycare (unless you have family). Daycare is not cheap, a lot of new mom's that go back to work find that their whole check is going just for daycare... I had to stop working at 18 weeks due to complications so I understand the comments. You need to stick up for yourself and explain that no one will hire you right now and you're doing what you can. Hope all works out!

I have a job but financially we can't make it without me working so I'm only taking about two weeks off. I would stop but at the same time keep looking never you might find something that isn't needing you til after baby is born.

No point in looking now...however if you guys are struggling and not financially stable enough to continue to be off after the baby is born then yes you need to start looking 4 to 6 weeks after delivery...babies are expensive
