We've been Here for 6 months and have been complaining about the main front door. We have buzzers to buzz people in but the lock doesn't secure to shut the door, and it's supposed to automatically slam behind you
Well it doesn't and they still haven't fixed the problem. It's a different story now that I'm pregnant and it's still our safety. We complained not once not twice and more than 3 times about it
Today when we left for dinner my fiancé locked the door. When we got home our door was unlocked, can I not pay rent until they fix it cause complaining obviously doesn't work...

And with watever the tennants people say u can always go to ur local bank where u bank at n get ur typed up papers of conplaint nitorized.. it majes them see tgat u r serious bout this..
Say u in texas u look up the texas tennants number n get there help they can tell u more bout wat u can n cannot do.. so basicallysearch (whatever state u live) in tennants n give tgem a call.
You can go to the court house and file a complaint on him about this problem and they be will sure to take care of it. I had to do it when I first moved in as well. I would continue to pay rent though because if you stop.that can get you into.some.legal trouble. The only way you could stop paying rent is if you had a severe health issue like mold or your water being broken and he won't fix it. Atleast that's how its like in my state...I live in maryland.
I would look into laws although usually you can create a certain type of account and withhold from the landlord until the problem is solved although you have to go about it in a legal manner.
Omg me and my fiance have the same problem!! Check your lease agreement we pay I think 10 or 20 extra automatically for them damn buzzers and if there not working you shoukdnt have to pay so check and see cif you are bc if so I woukd tell them fix it NOW or I'm not paying!!!
