Lying on your back

I'm 33 weeks today and someone told me that I shouldn't be laying on my back I needed to lay on sides has any heard this before. I'm more comfortable on my  back most of the time

The reason they don't recommend sleeping on your back after a certain point is because there is a main artery that can get pressed on by the weight of the baby and the uterus.

My midwife says as long as I'm comfortable, it's fine.  You'll definitely know if a major artery is being cut off.
