Natural

Hello ladies,
I'm trying to muster up  the strength to do this whole labor process naturally.  I'm 36 weeks and have just a little ways to go. This is my first baby and for the most part I had a great pregnancy and have a tolerance for pain. However,  I know this is different.   Any advice?

Thanks

I believe in us!! Our ancestors have done it for centuries right?(: Our brains our made to send natural pain relief chemicals, and our bodies are made for this! Good luck with yours too, ma'am - we got this!

If I had to give one piece of advice it would be to stay home and labor for as long as possible. So many woman make the mistake of rushing into the hospital at the first sign of labor. My doctors advice was 3-1-1, a contraction every 3 minutes, 1 minute long for atleast 1 hour. I was able to labor med free for the first 14 hours, but I went to the hospital to soon. My contractions started at 3-5 minutes apart so I only stayed home for 3 hours cause I just wasn't sure. After the 3 hours of labor I was already at 5cm but then they made me lay down forever to monitor and my labor immediatly staled. I'm 100% sure my labor would have been different and better if I had just stayed home till it got a little more intense.

Yes I know.  I Def don't want anything stuck into my back.  I'm really trying to visualize an Easy birth.  I keep telling myself the baby is perfect for my body.  I'm so anxious though. Can't wait to hear how yours goes.  Congrats and thanks! Good luck

I'm 39 weeks pregnant and plan on doing it naturally as well. I've read alot that normal labor pain is manageable, but when pitocin is introduced to speed things along or induced that is when most women break and go for meds. I personally plan on pretending those drugs don't even exist because I have scoliosis and there's no way they are sticking anything in my spine. I am just going to trust in my ability to get through it because it's only temporary pain for the most beautiful reason imaginable (:
