Need words of encouragement :/

So my situation is very tough. I live in California in the Bay Area and it's very expensive, my partner and I have game to the conclusion to move to Texas, he is already out there, found work but min wage out there is $2.15... He won't be able to make it out here paying for our new home and car payment, insurance, ect. I'm still in Cali and going to deliver out here since there is no kaiser out there. We desperately need money and anything we can sell we do it! My dad bought me a electric breast pump and breast feeding is everything to me, I have had thoughts like "do I NEED to Breast feed my baby or should I sell it for the money that we need". I've always loved breast feeding and I'm sad I'm thinking this way... Breast feeding is important....right??:( :( :(

Have you looked into getting government assistance such as Cash aid, food stamps ,etc? If not, that would be very helpful. I used to work with Social services pre pregnancy and you would be amazed by the amount of resources available to families.

Also you can rent breast pumps! I got a $300 valued breast bump for free through my insurance! So make sure to call your insurance company!

I'm originally from Los Angeles and I moved to Ohio a huge news flash! If you have insurance look into seeing if they'll provide you with a free one. Breast bumps are extremely expensive. AND check out the app posh mark I literally made close to 800 selling cclothes. I use to work for the brand volcom would get free bathing suites, stuff from the show room point being it's an app to sell and trade clothes you get about $2 taken out I believe but they send you a shipping label so all you have to do is package n send it out. It literally flew me back to Ohio and put extra cash in my pocket. Now that California's min wage went up to $15 everything else is only going to get more expensive!

Minimum wage in Texas is $7.25.

It sounds like your boyfriend is a waiter,  in that case,  as in most of the US,  there is no minimum wage and they work off tips.

I don't know why there's this double standard,  but farm laborers and waitstaff are treated differently,  by labor laws.

You don't need a breast pump to breastfeed if you are going to be with your baby.  If you want to breastfeed and will be away from your baby, you need the pump.

Very surprised to read this!! Me and my husband live in Orange County and just decided to move to Texas as well..  We'll be able to provide a better quality of life for our child there. My husband works in Cali now but actively looking for a position in Texas.
In regards yo your question. If you dont work, you dont really need a breadtpump.. But in general, I agree with above comments - try breastfeeding. Your baby will get more nutrients, get sick less, its cheaper and wil help you loose baby weight!!
Money wise, I'd suggest for your husband to sign up for Uber/Lyft for extra income.
Good luck!!

Truthfully I would tell you before you do anything to pray to God. I too have been going through a pretty tough/emotional pregnancy but with the help of God I'm making it through. Just take it day by day, I know it's hard not to think about what the next day may bring but try because it really helps. Wish you nothing but the best of luck and I have faith that everything will work out in your favor (you should too❤️).

Well think about it this way breastfeading is cheaper then formula and the less formula you have to get the more money you will have in the long run
